Company Description Edza AI is an AI-powered personal tutoring platform for Indian learners in Classes 7–12 and competitive exams such as JEE and NEET, designed to make individualized attention scalable. The platform simulates a strong 1:1 teacher by listening, diagnosing learning gaps, co-solving problems on a whiteboard, testing, and evaluating answers like a board examiner, then adapting based on learning patterns. Edza AI runs context-aware tutoring pipelines that keep explanation, assessment, memory, and feedback aligned, enabling continuous adaptation and long-term learning retention. Through features like AI Shorts, adaptive tests, 1:1 voice calls in multiple Indian languages, board-style checking, and personalized notes, Edza aims to deliver deeply personalized learning at scale in line with NEP 2020 objectives.

Role Description This is a full-time remote role for an Android Developer at Edza AI. The Android Developer will design, build, and maintain high-quality Android applications that power the student and tutor experiences, including interactive learning flows, adaptive testing interfaces, and real-time tutoring features. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with product, design, AI, and backend teams to implement new features, optimize performance, and ensure seamless integration with APIs and AI services. The role involves writing clean, maintainable code, following modern Android architecture patterns, conducting code reviews, and contributing to testing, debugging, and release cycles. The Android Developer will also help improve usability, accessibility, and reliability across diverse devices and network conditions.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Mobile Application Development and experience building Mobile Applications for Android.
• Proficiency in Android Development and familiarity with Android Design principles and guidelines.
• Solid foundation in Software Development, including object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with Kotlin and/or Java, Android SDK, Jetpack components, and modern Android architecture (MVVM, Clean Architecture).
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, and integration with backend services and AI/ML-driven features.
• Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and publishing apps to the Google Play Store.
• Ability to write unit and instrumentation tests, optimize performance, and handle offline/low-connectivity scenarios.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment.
• Effective communication skills and comfort working with cross-functional teams (product, design, AI, education domain experts).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
