Freelance Sales & Client Success Specialist — Entry-Level | Remote

PhotoManhattan and its affiliated educational programs offer an artistic and creative environment where sales, client services, class coordination, and education come together.

We are seeking a Freelance Sales & Client Success Specialist to support prospective and existing students from initial inquiry through registration, participation, follow-up, and continued engagement.

This is a fully remote, entry-level freelance opportunity for someone proactive, resourceful, organized, and comfortable independently managing client activity, sales follow-up, and next actions.

Scope of Services

Services may be provided for PhotoManhattan and its affiliated educational programs and may include:

• Sales & Client Engagement: Responding to inquiries, understanding client needs, recommending appropriate classes or services, and converting interest into registrations.
• Pipeline & Follow-Up: Managing active leads, pending registrations, returning clients, and follow-up opportunities.
• Registration & Client Support: Assisting with class selection, registration, scheduling, transfers, and continued engagement.
• Class & Instructor Coordination: Coordinating schedules, instructor availability, substitutions, course information, and related client communications.
• Marketing & Outreach: Supporting newsletters, social media, advertising, promotions, and client outreach.
• Events & Activities: Assisting with workshops, events, and related coordination.
• Independent Follow-Through: Researching information, identifying next steps, and keeping client, sales, and registration activity moving forward.

Qualifications

• Strong working proficiency in English, with natural and professional communication by phone and in writing.
• Strong organization and multitasking skills.
• Resourcefulness, initiative, good judgment, and dependable follow-through.
• Comfortable with sales, client engagement, recommendations, and follow-up.

Preferred

• Experience or familiarity with sales, client services, education, hospitality, real estate, insurance, or similar client-facing work is a plus.
• Interest in photography, education, or the creative arts is welcome.

Digital & Remote Requirements

This is a fully remote position with no travel or physical presence in New York City required . Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet environment suitable for client calls are required.

Applicants should be comfortable independently using common digital tools including email, web browsers, calendars, cloud documents, Microsoft Word and Excel, PDFs, Google Maps, online searches, and similar resources.

Schedule, Compensation & Freelance Arrangement

Approximately 10–20 service hours per week , with regular Saturday availability and some weekday availability through approximately 7:00 PM New York time . Anticipated service windows may include Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday afternoons.

This opportunity is offered on a freelance / independent-contractor basis, for immediate start.

Compensation consists of a guaranteed base service fee plus sales commissions , with additional earning potential based on sales results and client conversion.

The base service fee is aligned with entry-level freelance sales and client-service market standards in the contractor’s place of residence , with consideration given to relevant experience and qualifications.

Applicants must be able to receive international payments in U.S. dollars.
