AI Film Making Faculty

Mediaverse Academy helps students build the creative and technical skills to tell stories with emerging media. We’re looking for an active AI filmmaking practitioner to teach and mentor students through hands-on projects.

About the Role:

This role is for a maker who can bring their own filmmaking practice into the classroom. You’ll create original AI-assisted work, experiment with new tools and workflows, and guide students as they develop films of their own.

You’ll connect cinema craft with the technology behind AI tools from prompting and machine learning concepts to AI system structures so students learn both how to use these tools and how to make thoughtful creative choices with them.

What you will do? Teach and mentor Mediaverse Academy students through practical, project-based learning.

• Guide students from story idea and script through visual development, AI generation, editing, sound, and final delivery.
• Teach prompting through demonstrations, experimentation, and real examples from your own work.
• Explain machine learning concepts and AI structures in ways students can apply to filmmaking.
• Help students use cinema fundamentals—including storytelling, cinematography, composition, lighting, and editing in AI-assisted projects.
• Give constructive feedback and support students in developing their own creative voice.
• Develop learning materials and adapt lessons for students with different levels of experience.
• Continue making and experimenting, bringing current tools, techniques, and insights into the academy.

Ideal Candidature:

• A strong portfolio of original AI-assisted films or visual storytelling projects.
• An active creative practice in AI filmmaking or a closely related field.
• Practical knowledge of prompting, machine learning concepts, and AI system structures.
• A solid cinema background, including storytelling, cinematography, editing, and sound.
• The ability to explain technical ideas clearly and connect them to creative practice.
• A supportive, engaging approach to mentoring students.

Teaching experience is welcome, but a strong body of creative work and the ability to guide students through your process are essential.
