Senior Manager Network Engineering

Location: This person can sit out of Chicago, New York, or Kansas City | Hybrid (4 days onsite)

Day to Day:

We’re seeking a hands-on Network Engineering leader to manage and mentor a team of engineers supporting one of the world’s most demanding low-latency trading environments.

This role combines people leadership, technical strategy, and project execution. You’ll oversee the design, performance, and evolution of a global network infrastructure that supports mission-critical financial systems where reliability, speed, and stability are essential.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and develop a team of 6 Network Engineers across the Americas
• Drive network architecture, modernization, and strategic infrastructure projects
• Represent Network Engineering in cross-functional project meetings
• Partner with security, operations, cloud, and application teams
• Serve as a senior technical escalation point for complex networking issues
• Support automation initiatives that improve scalability and operational efficiency
• Help define networking standards, best practices, and future technology direction

Desired Skills and Experience:

• 10+ years of Network Engineering experience
• 3+ years leading engineering teams or technical staff
• Strong enterprise and data center networking background
• Deep expertise with:
• BGP
• OSPF
• MPLS
• VXLAN
• Multicast (PIM)
• WAN routing and switching
• Experience designing highly available, mission-critical environments
• Hands-on network automation experience using Python and APIs
• Strong project leadership and stakeholder management skills

Preferred

• Experience in financial services, capital markets, trading, or high-frequency trading environments
• Experience with low-latency network design and optimization
• Knowledge of Arista, Cisco, and Juniper networking platforms
• Experience with:
• Ansible
• NetBox
• Grafana
• Prometheus
• CCIE or other advanced networking certifications
