Summary UST is looking for SDET / Engineer with solid experience in both software development and testing.

Role Overview We are looking for a strong SDET / Engineer with solid experience in both software development and testing. The ideal candidate should be comfortable writing production-quality code, building automation frameworks, developing automated tests, and contributing to overall product quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and automated test suites.
• Contribute hands-on to both application development and test engineering activities.
• Develop clean, maintainable, and reusable code following software engineering best practices.
• Automate functional, integration, regression, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, product owners, and other stakeholders.
• Review requirements and technical designs to identify test scenarios, risks, and quality considerations early in the development lifecycle.
• Perform debugging, root-cause analysis, and troubleshooting of application and automation issues.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and continuously improve test execution and feedback cycles.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improvements in development and testing practices.

Required Skills

• Strong programming skills in Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or a similar programming language.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, REST Assured, or equivalent.
• Strong experience in API testing and automation.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, HTTP concepts, JSON, and web technologies.
• Experience with unit, integration, functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience working with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum development practices.
