Featured in WWD, Forbes, The New York Times, and showcased at New York Fashion Week, we’ve established ourselves as a premier destination for clients seeking extraordinary custom garments that transcend conventional luxury. We are industry leaders in inclusive luxury tailoring, renowned for our expertise in LGBTQ+ wedding attire and gender-affirming design.
SHAO is an elevated luxury designer brand known for bold tailoring, cultural storytelling, and modern design. Since its NYFW debut, SHAO has become a red-carpet favorite, worn by celebrities at galas, talk shows, and in TV and film.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Executive Administrative Assistant to provide direct support to the CEO across The Tailory New York and SHAO.
This is a full-time role focused on executive support, internal coordination, financial administration, and day-to-day business operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, resourceful, discreet, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced creative environment.
This role is primarily focused on supporting the CEO and internal operations rather than client communication.
What You’ll Do
- Executive Support: Manage the CEO’s calendar, meetings, scheduling, daily priorities, and follow-ups, helping ensure deadlines and commitments stay on track.
- Team Coordination: Serve as the internal point of contact between the CEO and staff, communicate priorities, delegate follow-ups, and track assignments through completion.
- Financial Administration: Track invoices, expenses, receipts, and payment schedules; prepare payments for CEO approval and maintain organized records for bookkeeping and accounting.
- Meeting & Project Follow-Through: Prepare agendas, take notes, maintain action lists, and ensure decisions and next steps are followed through.
- Team Support: Oversee virtual assistants and interns, including assigning tasks, monitoring deadlines, and reviewing work for accuracy and completion.
Who You Are
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Able to anticipate what needs to happen next and follow through without requiring constant direction.
- A strong communicator who is comfortable coordinating with staff, delegating tasks, and following up on deadlines.
- Trustworthy and discreet when handling confidential financial, personnel, and business information.
- Proficient with spreadsheets, calendars, shared documents, and task-management tools, and comfortable learning new systems.
- Previous experience in executive assistance, office administration, operations, invoice processing, or team coordination; experience in fashion, luxury, or a fast-paced creative business is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Growth opportunities across two established luxury fashion brands.
- Employee discount on custom garments and ready-to-wear.
We welcome applications from all backgrounds and identities. At The Tailory New York and SHAO, equality and respect are at the core of everything we do.
