About the Company
This profitable, seed-stage career technology company is on a mission to give everyone access to great coaching. The company has built a curated network of experienced operator-coaches who work with managers and leaders at some of the world’s leading technology companies. Around the human coaching relationship, the company is building a powerful software and AI layer capturing what is happening at work, giving coaches better context, and helping members turn coaching insights into meaningful action between sessions.
The result is an AI-native, human-centered challenger to the traditional coaching model, operating as a remote-first company across the US, Canada, and Latin America.
About the Role
We’re looking for a product-minded full-stack engineer who knows how to put AI into the hands of real users. This is not an ML research, data science, or pure data engineering role. The focus is on building useful AI-powered product experiences and shipping them into production.
You’ll join a small, highly experienced engineering team and work closely with the founders, product, design, and coaching network.
The two qualities that matter most are:
- Exceptional AI development workflow
You know how to use modern AI coding tools effectively and, importantly, how to validate, test, automate, and improve their output. This will be assessed through a live LLM coding interview.
- Critical thinking
You can clearly explain the technical decisions you’ve made, build a strong mental model of complex systems, and articulate what you would change with hindsight.
What You’ll Own
- Build and ship AI-powered features used by real customers
- Develop full-stack product experiences around foundation models
- Build data pipelines and search/indexing systems
- Work across Go, TypeScript, Ruby, and other technologies as needed
- Design and implement event-driven systems
- Collaborate directly with founders, product, design, and the coaching network
- Make pragmatic technical decisions and move quickly from idea to production
- Help shape the team’s approach to AI-assisted software development
What We’re Looking For
Approximately 8–10 years of professional experience, with strong hands-on engineering ability.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Senior-level full-stack or software engineering experience
- A strong track record of shipping AI features to real users
- Server-side web development experience
- Comfort working with dynamic programming languages
- Experience with data pipelines and search indexes
- Ability to adapt quickly across different technology stacks
- Experience with event-driven architectures
- Strong startup experience and a high level of ownership
- Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
- A genuine interest in building products rather than simply researching technology
Strong Backgrounds
We’re particularly interested in:
- Founders and founding engineers
- Startup engineers who have shipped AI-powered features
- Engineers who have worked with transcripts or large-document AI
- Experience with legal, regulatory, or tax text
- Coaching, learning, or HR technology
- Senior engineers from larger companies who are ready to return to a highly hands-on role
The team is looking for ambitious but fun “happy warriors”, people who take their work seriously without taking themselves too seriously.
Tech Environment
The current stack includes:
- Go
- TypeScript
- Ruby
- Event-driven architecture
- Data pipelines and search/indexing infrastructure
- Modern AI and LLM tooling
You don’t need to have worked with every technology listed. Adaptability and strong engineering fundamentals matter more.
What This Role Is Not
This is unlikely to be a fit for:
- Pure ML, data science, or research profiles
- Data engineers applying for an “AI” title without product experience
- Candidates whose background is exclusively Big Tech and consulting
- New graduates or engineers still developing their core engineering experience
- Pure mobile or embedded engineers
- Agency profiles where AI has only been a small part of the work
- Candidates uncomfortable challenging assumptions or disagreeing constructively w…
