Full Stack Engineer (Junior/Middle)

About the Role

The Fullstack Engineer will be part of the Innovation Engineering team, working on bringing cutting-edge ideas to life and validating key hypotheses. This includes emerging areas such as generative AI, climate innovation, digital assets, open banking, and next-generation payment solutions. The role involves developing small-scale, time-bound production prototypes by leveraging the client’s existing technology platforms.

Role Description

• Collaborate with internal technology leaders to enhance and deliver on the technical roadmap
• Design, develop, review, and maintain React.js applications and related services across production and pre-production environments
• Participate in Agile development processes, including prototyping and code reviews with global teams, to build scalable microservices-based solutions
• Analyze business and user requirements to design and implement suitable applications
• Work closely with delivery teams using CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to ensure successful deployment
• Apply strong coding standards, ensure thorough unit/component testing, and troubleshoot issues effectively
• Make technical decisions at the component level while aligning with overall architectural guidelines
• Conduct peer code reviews, recommend improvements, and constructively challenge technical decisions

Qualifications

• Minimum 1.5 years of experience in Software Development, Frontend, or Fullstack Engineering
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) / TypeScript and frameworks such as React.js, Angular, or Vue.js
• Solid foundation in Computer Science, with experience building scalable and maintainable systems
• In-depth knowledge of web technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JSON , and styling frameworks (e.g., styled-components/emotion), with awareness of accessibility and security best practices
• Ability to design and structure React applications effectively
• Experience with developer tools and CI/CD pipelines for deployment
• Hands-on experience with Node.js for building BFF (Backend-for-Frontend) services
• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Chai) and cloud platforms, especially AWS
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs (and GraphQL) and microservices architecture
• Good knowledge of software engineering principles, testing practices, and Agile methodologies
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Strong English communication skills in an international working environment

Nice to have

• Experience in backend development using Java (8+)
• Experience designing and developing complex RESTful APIs and microservices systems, including troubleshooting and debugging
• Experience with end-to-end testing frameworks such as Playwright, WebdriverIO, or Cypress
