Job Description

Role: Linux Software Packaging Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Package, test, and release software for Debian-based Linux systems.
  • Create and maintain Linux software packages and resolve dependencies.
  • Troubleshoot build, installation, packaging, and test failures.
  • Develop scripts and automation using Bash and languages such as Python, C, C++, or Go.
  • Perform regression, upgrade, installation, and stability testing.
  • Support build and release automation processes.
  • Work with Git/source control and maintain technical documentation.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Strong Linux administration
  • Debian/Linux package management
  • Strong Bash/Shell scripting
  • Experience with software packaging and dependency resolution
  • Programming experience in at least one: Python / C / C++ / Go
  • Build, installation, and system troubleshooting
  • Regression and release testing
  • Git/source control
