About the Role

We are an Australian-based hospitality company selling accommodations across 5 properties in Sydney.

We’re looking for a developer who can build reliable software, understand how a business operates, and take ownership of problems from investigation through to completion.

You will work with senior developers and business leaders on , AI automation, and day-to-day operations. You’ll learn workflows firsthand, help execute them, identify what needs improving, and build solutions for the repetitive parts.

Development and operations are both core responsibilities. You should be comfortable moving between coding, investigating operational issues, coordinating with colleagues, and following up until work is complete.

What You’ll Work On

Business Operations

• Learn how our hospitality, customer service, marketing, and internal teams work.

• Handle assigned operational tasks directly and identify opportunities to improve or automate them.

• Monitor systems such as GoHighLevel, Goki, email, and booking platforms for missed messages, delayed responses, and unresolved issues.

• Coordinate with colleagues and operational teams, track progress, and follow up until issues are resolved.

• Keep task lists, documentation, and handovers organised.

• Support tasks outside development when needed, including AI-assisted video editing, creative support, research, and administrative follow-ups.

You do not need experience with every platform listed. You do need the initiative to learn, ask useful questions, and make progress independently.

Required Skills and Qualities

• Strong practical development skills in Python or PHP.

• Experience building backend services, REST APIs, and third-party integrations.

• Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs into applications or workflows.

• Confidence using Linux, Git, and the command line.

• Ability to develop, debug, test, and deploy your work.

• Clear spoken and written English, including the ability to explain problems to nontechnical colleagues.

• Strong organisation, prioritisation, and follow-through.

• Ability to investigate unfamiliar problems and propose practical next steps.

• Willingness to learn new tools and take responsibility beyond your main programming specialisation.

• Professional, empathetic communication with colleagues and operational teams.

We assess both technical ability and how you approach real business problems.

Nice to Have

• FastAPI, Flask, or Django.

• AWS or VPS infrastructure.

• WordPress or WooCommerce.

• Workflow automation and internal tooling.

• GoHighLevel, hospitality systems, or booking-platform integrations.

• Experience in operations, customer service, project coordination, freelancing, or running your own projects.

Working Days, Hours and Expectations

This is a six-day role, Monday to Saturday. Saturday is a regular working day.

Typical India working hours are approximately 4:30 AM–12:30 PM IST, aligned with Australian business hours.

You should start your shift prepared, organise your priorities, and manage assigned tasks without repeated reminders. Raise blockers early and communicate clearly about progress and next steps.

During assessments and probation, you will be expected to provide brief progress updates every 30 minutes without being prompted, covering:

• What you have completed.

• What you are working on next.

• Any blockers or support needed.

Additional hours beyond your scheduled shift, or work on Sundays, may be required to complete priority work or address urgent issues. Availability and arrangements will be discussed during recruitment.
