Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in software testing. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of manual testing concepts, basic programming knowledge, web application testing, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Candidiates will have a minimum service agreement of 24 months.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing of applications to ensure functionality, usability, reliability, and overall product quality.
• Understand and execute different software testing processes and methodologies, including test case preparation, execution, defect identification, and reporting.
• Develop a basic understanding of programming concepts and be comfortable working with at least one programming language such as JavaScript, Java, C, or C++.
• Identify and inspect DOM elements using browser developer tools and locate elements using CSS selectors and XPath.
• Prepare, execute, and maintain test cases and test scenarios based on functional and business requirements.
• Identify, document, track, and validate software defects using appropriate defect-tracking tools.
• Analyze application issues and work closely with developers and other stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve defects.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas and functions for data analysis and test-related activities.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of quality software.

Required Skills

• 2–3 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.
• Strong understanding of Manual Testing concepts and testing life cycle.
• Basic programming knowledge in any one language, such as JavaScript, Java, C, or C++.
• Hands-on knowledge of DOM inspection, CSS selectors, and XPath.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and commonly used formulas/functions.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Profile

• Candidates who can join immediately or have a very short notice period are preferred.
• Candidates with exposure to web application testing and browser developer tools will be an added advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
