Senior AWS Full Stack Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a high-performing Lead Full Stack AWS Cloud Engineer (10+ years of experience) to join a high-visibility implementation project supporting a major tier-1 global financial services client in Jersey City, NJ.

In this role, you will act as a true self-starter—taking complete ownership of project delivery, collaborating directly with business stakeholders to refine requirements, and architecting resilient, scalable AWS cloud solutions. You will leverage cutting-edge developer AI tools (Claude, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate delivery cycles and drive technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive Implementation: Independently design, build, and deploy end-to-end cloud features and data pipelines with minimal supervision.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Partner directly with business users and functional leaders to translate complex use cases into robust technical solutions.
• AWS Cloud Infrastructure: Design, configure, and maintain resilient deployment setups, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• AI-Augmented Development: Proactively leverage AI coding assistants (Claude, GitHub Copilot) to optimize code quality, testing, and development speed.
• Reliability & Performance: Implement resilience patterns, fault-tolerant configurations, and automated testing across distributed serverless and microservice architecture.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills

• Experience: 10+ years of hands-on software development and cloud engineering experience in enterprise environments.
• Core Languages: Strong proficiency in Java and TypeScript ; experience with DB2 or relational database architecture.
• AWS Ecosystem (Must-Have):
• Orchestration & Compute: Airflow , ECS Fargate , AWS Lambda
• Database & Data Warehousing: Amazon Aurora , Snowflake
• AWS Infra & DevOps: Deep understanding of AWS infrastructure deployment, automated testing, resilient multi-AZ/failover setups, and cloud security best practices.
• AI Tooling: Hands-on experience using modern AI developer tools ( Claude , GitHub Copilot ) to streamline coding and debugging.
• Soft Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with a proven track record of working independently with business users and driving projects from concept to completion.
