FIELD OPERATIONS MANAGER / REMODELING PROJECT MANAGER

Carpenter Kaitie & Co is looking for an experienced, dependable Field Operations Manager / Remodeling Project Manager to help oversee our residential remodeling projects and crews.

This is NOT an office-only management position. I am looking for someone with strong hands-on remodeling/construction knowledge who can walk onto a project, understand what needs done, organize the crew, catch quality issues, solve problems and keep the job moving without needing constant direction.

Responsibilities include:

• Running multiple residential remodeling projects
• Assigning daily tasks and managing crews
• Checking workmanship and finish quality throughout the project
• Keeping projects on schedule
• Coordinating subcontractors
• Tracking material needs and helping coordinate orders
• Communicating professionally with homeowners
• Completing walkthroughs and punch lists
• Sending daily progress updates/photos
• Making sure scopes, changes and problems are documented
• Coordinating required inspections/permit-related steps with the office/owner
• Stepping in hands-on when necessary to solve problems or keep a project moving

What I’m looking for:

• Significant residential remodeling/construction experience
• Strong knowledge of drywall/finish work, flooring, trim, kitchens, bathrooms and general remodeling
• Previous crew leadership or project-management experience
• Extremely strong attention to detail
• Ability to identify poor workmanship BEFORE the homeowner does
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Reliable transportation and driver’s license
• Comfortable managing several personalities and holding employees accountable
• Able to work independently and make good decisions without constant supervision

I’m specifically looking for someone who takes ownership of a project. If something isn’t right, I need someone who notices it, develops a solution and gets it corrected—not someone who waits for the owner to discover it.

Pay: approximately $30–$38/hour depending on experience and demonstrated ability.

This has the potential to become a very important long-term leadership position within a growing remodeling and construction company.
