About The Role We are seeking a skilled Front-End (UI/UX) Developer to join our dynamic, remote team supporting a large federal government healthcare modernization project. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing an AI-powered Patient Health Data Summarization capability within the Joint Longitudinal Viewer (JLV). Your primary responsibility will be to create intuitive, accessible, and responsive user interfaces that facilitate clinical decision-making by providing clinicians with AI-generated insights derived from complex clinical documentation and health records. Working within an Agile environment, you will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including product owners, UX designers, clinical subject matter experts, architects, and engineers, to deliver seamless healthcare applications integrated into clinician workflows. This position requires a deep understanding of modern front-end technologies, healthcare standards, and accessibility compliance, all while supporting transparency, traceability, and usability of AI-generated clinical information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum of 5+ years of professional front-end development experience
• Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript
• Experience developing responsive, component-based web applications using frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue
• Strong knowledge of accessibility standards including WCAG and ARIA
• Experience creating complex, data-intensive user interfaces and visualizations
• Understanding of healthcare interoperability standards like FHIR, C-CDA, CDS Hooks, SMART on FHIR
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within Agile, multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive, accessible, and user-friendly healthcare application interfaces, including reusable UI components
• Create data-driven visualizations and workflows that simplify complex clinical information and support clinician decision-making
• Implement user interfaces supporting Clinical Decision Support workflows, including CDS cards, notifications, and patient-context-aware experiences
• Integrate front-end applications with backend services and clinical data sources, ensuring transparency and traceability of AI-generated summaries
• Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and UI tests to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, and adhere to application quality standards
• Collaborate within an Agile team on sprint planning, backlog refinement, demonstrations, testing, and releases
• Support additional tasks as required to meet project objectives and improve application usability and performance
