Senior Staff AI Engineer - Agentic AI Platform (Remote Eligible)

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Staff AI Engineer - Agentic AI Platform (Remote Eligible) to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will shape the architecture, roadmap, and technical direction for advanced AI systems that support high-impact business outcomes in a regulated financial services environment.

You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to design, build, and scale AI-powered capabilities from training through deployment.

The ideal candidate will also help establish technical standards for performance, safety, and transparency while mentoring senior engineering talent.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $286,200 – $326,700 annually

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver transformative AI-powered products
• Design and implement AI software components from training to deployment
• Utilize advanced open source and SaaS AI technologies to improve project efficiency
• Innovate optimization techniques for scaling production AI systems effectively
• Contribute to the long-term AI systems roadmap and technical vision
• Define the architecture vision for integrated AI solutions
• Establish company-wide standards for AI performance, safety, and transparency
• Mentor senior technical leaders to foster the next generation of AI expertise

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field plus 10 years of AI/ML experience, or a Master’s Degree with 8 years of experience
• 10+ years of experience in programming with languages such as Python, Go, Scala, CUDA, or Java
• Strong background in building and scaling production AI systems
