Senior Angular Developer

Heitmeyer Consulting currently has an opportunity for a Senior Angular Developer in Buffalo, NY. This is a hybrid position, so the person needs to live in the Buffalo, NY area. No C2c or agencies for this position.

Senior Angular Developer to build and enhance a cloud-native enterprise risk reporting platform, delivering high-performance, secure, data-driven web applications that integrate with distributed backend services and support real-time analytics.

Top 3 Responsibilities:

• Deliver scalable Angular (v16–18) frontend features for risk dashboards.
• Integrate seamlessly with backend APIs (Node.js, Flask microservices).
• Optimize application performance (rendering, caching, lazy loading) in Azure environment.

Requirements:

• 5-8 total years of experience in full stack development with work being 80% front-end Angular 16+ (modern features: signals, Standalone, performance optimization). Ok to have a couple years of Angular as long as it’s most recent and the rest being React.
• Strong API integration experience (REST/GraphQL).
• Azure experience (ideally AD authentication).
• Does not need to have held a “lead” title but needs to have the leadership qualities to be capable of conducting code reviews and mentoring junior resources.
• Some experience with either Node.js or Python (20% backend).
• Understanding of backend microservices architecture.
• Understanding of job schedulers and batch processing workflows.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Risk Management systems.
• Having Azure App Services / Static Web Apps, Azure Functions, Azure API Management, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB.
• GitLab CI/CD.
• Python Flask API familiarity.
