Role: Senior Java Engineer

Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)

Contract Duration: 6 months+ (Contract to Hire)

Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)

Location: Hybrid in Bangalore or Chennai - India

We are seeking a highly experienced, hands-on Senior Java Engineer with 14–15+ years of software development experience and deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, open-source/Apache technologies, and AWS. The ideal candidate will be actively coding, able to contribute from Day 1 , and experienced in building and deploying event-driven/serverless solutions using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and SQS .

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot .
• Write production-quality code and contribute hands-on from Day 1.
• Develop and deploy applications using AWS services , particularly Lambda, API Gateway, and SQS.
• Build and integrate event-driven and serverless architectures .
• Work with open-source technologies and Apache frameworks.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and resolve complex application issues.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver critical project milestones.
• Contribute to code reviews, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.

Must-Haves

• 14–15+ years of overall software development experience.
• Strong, hands-on Java development experience.
• Strong Spring Boot experience.
• Hands-on AWS development/deployment experience.
• AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and SQS .
• Experience with event-driven/serverless architectures .
• Strong open-source/Apache technology experience.
• Must be actively coding and contributing technically—not architecture-only or management.

Nice-to-Haves

• Additional AWS services.
• Microservices architecture.
• CI/CD and DevOps experience.
• Apache Kafka or other messaging technologies.
• Experience working on large-scale enterprise applications.
