Part-Time Squarespace Web Designer/Developer (SEO Basics)

We’re looking for a part-time Squarespace specialist to update and improve our existing website. You’ll make page and layout changes, keep the site fast and polished, and apply solid on-page SEO. We like people who use modern AI tools to work efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Build and update pages, sections, blog posts, and forms in Squarespace
• Make design improvements and fixes, including mobile layouts
• Handle on-page SEO: page titles, meta descriptions, URL slugs, image alt text, heading structure, and redirects
• Improve page speed (image optimization, lighter pages and embeds)
• Add custom CSS or code injection when the built-in tools aren’t enough
• Set up and monitor Google Search Console and Analytics, and report on traffic
• Use AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) to speed up routine tasks, with human review

Requirements

• Proven experience building and managing Squarespace 7.1 sites
• Working knowledge of on-page SEO basics
• Comfortable with basic HTML and CSS
• Portfolio or live Squarespace sites you’ve worked on
• About [X] hours per week, flexible schedule

Pay: $30/hr
