General Intelligence Capital is building a specialist private credit business focused on financing AI infrastructure, including GPU equipment and smaller data-centre projects.
We are seeking an experienced credit investor to help define the investment strategy, originate and execute transactions, and build the portfolio. The business will combine an experienced investment team with an existing AI origination and underwriting platform.
Responsibilities
- Develop the lending mandate, underwriting standards and portfolio risk limits.
- Originate and execute transactions, from initial assessment through diligence, structuring and closing.
- Assess borrower cash flows, customer contracts, equipment values and downside recovery.
- Prepare investment committee papers and present recommendations.
- Help secure institutional or family-office backing.
- Oversee portfolio monitoring, servicing and workouts.
Experience required
- Demonstrable track record of deploying capital in private credit, equipment finance, asset-backed lending or infrastructure debt.
- Relevant transaction experience in data centres, digital infrastructure or technology equipment.
- Strong credit analysis, structuring and negotiation skills.
- Ability to explain your individual responsibility and investment outcomes on completed transactions.
- Willingness to join full-time once funding is secured.
Restructuring experience and established borrower, lender or infrastructure relationships would be valuable.
Opportunity and compensation
A senior founding role with meaningful input into strategy, investment decisions and team development. Equity or partnership participation and compensation will be agreed based on experience and responsibilities.
The business is at the team formation and capital-raising stage. The appointment and salaried start date are subject to funding.
