Senior Project Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of large-scale High Voltage infrastructure projects across Transmission, Distribution, Substation, and Mission Critical/Data Center markets.

This role will be responsible for overseeing projects from pre-construction through commissioning, ensuring safe execution, commercial performance, schedule adherence, and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in utility and energy infrastructure construction while also having experience supporting mission critical facilities requiring complex electrical systems and fast-track delivery schedules.

This is a high-impact leadership role within a growing organization delivering some of the most critical infrastructure projects in North America.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery

• Lead the execution of high-voltage construction projects ranging from 69kV to 500kV+.
• Manage transmission line, distribution, substation, switchyard, and mission critical

infrastructure projects.

• Oversee projects from pre-construction planning through energization and closeout.
• Develop and maintain project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resource forecasts.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for utility, hyperscale, data center, and industrial clients.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
• Lead client meetings, progress reviews, and executive-level project reporting.

Commercial Management

• Manage project P&L performance and financial forecasting.
• Review contracts, change orders, claims, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Monitor project costs and productivity metrics to ensure profitability targets are achieved.
• Support procurement and subcontract management activities.

Construction Oversight

• Collaborate closely with Superintendents, Construction Managers, and field leadership teams.
• Monitor project performance, productivity, quality control, and safety compliance.
• Drive project planning efforts including look-ahead schedules and resource allocation.
• Support commissioning and startup activities for energized facilities.

Safety Leadership

• Promote a culture of safety excellence across all project activities.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, client, utility, and company safety standards.
• Participate in safety audits, investigations, and corrective action planning.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
• 10+ years of project management experience within High Voltage construction environments.
• Demonstrated experience delivering Transmission, Distribution, and Substation projects.
• Experience managing projects ranging from $25M to $500M+.
• Strong understanding of utility construction methods, electrical infrastructure, and grid modernization initiatives.
• Proven ability to manage project schedules, budgets, contracts, and client relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Mission Critical or Data Center construction projects.
• Knowledge of utility interconnection, commissioning, and energization processes.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Experience working with major utilities, EPC contractors, hyperscale developers, or mission critical clients.
• Familiarity with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Procore, and project controls software.
