Software Engineer Technical Lead

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to drive our engineering software solutions and lead a team of high-performing developers. In this role, you will combine hands-on full-stack development expertise with specialized technical mastery in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) customization and CAD automation .

You will be responsible for architecting scalable applications, automating complex engineering design workflows, integrating enterprise systems, and mentoring developers to ensure high code quality and on-time project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & Team Management:

• Lead, mentor, and guide a team of full-stack developers through architectural design, code reviews, and technical decision-making.
• Define technical roadmaps, establish coding standards, and ensure adherence to best practices in continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).
• Collaborate with product managers, solution architects, and engineering domain stakeholders to translate complex business and engineering requirements into actionable technical tasks.

Full-Stack Architecture & Development, PLM Customization & CAD Automation:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure modern web applications and APIs.
• Architect frontend interfaces and robust backend microservices to interface with CAD, PLM, and ERP systems.
• Ensure application performance, high availability, responsiveness, and seamless user experiences across engineering tools.
• Drive end-to-end PLM customization, configuration, and integration (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, Dassault Enovia, or Aras Innovator).
• Automate CAD design processes, drawing generations, model validations, and batch operations via CAD APIs (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, NX, AutoCAD, Inventor, or CATIA).
• Develop and maintain custom plugins, scripts, and connectors linking CAD tools, PLM databases, and downstream enterprise software.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Overall Experience: 7+ years of software development experience, with at least 2+ years leading engineering teams or acting as a Tech Lead.

Technical Expertise:

Full-Stack Proficiency:

• Backend: Strong mastery of C#, .NET / .NET Core, Java, Python, or Node.js.
• Frontend: Hands-on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js), HTML5/CSS3, and state management.
• Databases: Strong proficiency with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL solutions.
• APIs & Cloud: RESTful API design, GraphQL, microservices, and exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

PLM & CAD Domain Knowledge:

• Demonstrated hands-on customization and configuration experience with major PLM suites (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, Aras, Enovia).
• Hands-on experience developing scripts/plugins using CAD APIs (e.g., SolidWorks API, Creo Toolkit, NX Open, AutoCAD ObjectARX, or CATIA Automation).
• Deep understanding of CAD/CAM data structures, BOM (Bill of Materials) structures, and PLM workflows (Change Management, Release Processes, Document Management).
