Job Description
Why Join Us?
Reach London is a premier, highly regulated boutique property consultancy specializing in the premium Central London market, serving an exclusive portfolio of luxury new-build developments (from the City and Canary Wharf to Mayfair and Nine Elms).
We pride ourselves on delivering bespoke, high-touch, and meticulous asset management services. We don’t strive for volume; we strive for excellence, client trust, and flawless execution.
Role Overview
We are seeking a mature, reliable, and highly resourceful Bilingual Property Manager who takes true ownership of their work and possesses solid practical life experience.
In this role, you won’t just be following standard checklists—you will be the primary operational force managing property maintenance, client relationships, and daily tenancy resolution. We need someone with great emotional maturity, composure under pressure, and a sharp eye for detail. You should naturally anticipate problems, drive tasks to completion without being chased, and maintain a reassuring, professional presence for our international landlords, tenants, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Property Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Independently handle daily maintenance requests, emergency repairs, and routine inspections from start to finish.
- Apply practical domestic knowledge to triage issues before dispatching contractors, ensuring cost-effective and sensible solutions.
- Coordinate efficiently with local UK tradespeople and suppliers, ensuring quality workmanship, fair pricing, and strict adherence to timelines.
- Follow up relentlessly until issues are 100% resolved—never leaving tasks half-done or unmonitored.
- High-Touch Bilingual Client & Tenant Relations:
- Act as the responsive, empathetic bridge between Mandarin-speaking landlords, local/international tenants, and UK contractors.
- Demonstrate high EQ and diplomacy when mediating disputes, handling tenant concerns, or managing landlord expectations.
- Practice “Over-Communication”: keep all parties updated proactively at every step in their preferred language (English or Mandarin) without waiting to be prompted.
- Compliance & Administrative Oversight:
- Ensure all managed properties strictly comply with UK lettings regulations (Gas Safety, EICR, EPC, HMO, Renters’ Rights Act compliance).
- Manage key handovers, tenancy renewals, deposit negotiations, and tenancy transitions smoothly and methodically.
- Maintain clean, organized records across all internal systems and property management software.
- Team Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
- Work closely with our core team, bringing a strong cooperative spirit, sound judgment, and positive energy.
- Actively spot operational bottlenecks or property risks and propose practical, well-thought-out solutions.
Requirements & Key Qualities
- Bilingual Proficiency: Full professional fluency in both written and spoken English and Mandarin is essential (drafting professional communications and conducting client calls in both languages).
- Life Maturity & Emotional Intelligence (EQ): Exceptional composure, tact, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to stay calm, empathetic, and decisive during stressful or unexpected property emergencies.
- Practical Domestic & Property Knowledge: Solid understanding of UK household systems (heating, plumbing, electrics, appliances) and general property maintenance operations.
- Proven Ownership & Proactivity: You naturally take charge (“eyes for work”). You don’t wait for “a nudge” to get moving; you anticipate what needs to be done and deliver complete closures.
- Organized & Resilient: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple urgent matters simultaneously without dropping details.
- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in UK residential property management, tenancy administration, or high-touch customer service (Central London experience preferred).
What We Offer
- A supportive, collaborative, and fast-moving team environment where your contributions and life experience are truly valued.
- Direct mentorship and clear opportunities for professional growth.
- Competitive salary package based on experience.
