# Lead Product Designer

## About the Role

Secfi is seeking a Lead Product Designer to own product design across its fintech and wealth technology products. As the second designer on the team, you will work alongside an experienced remote product designer and report to the Head of Product & Tech. The role offers significant ownership in a small and evolving design function, with responsibility for shaping product experiences, design standards, and how design operates as the team grows.

The role is approximately 90% product design and 10% brand work. You will design experiences for Maeve, Secfi’s agentic financial planner, the portfolio value tracker, equity planning tools, onboarding and financing flows, and the upcoming rebrand across the design system, product surfaces, and website. The work involves simplifying complex financial, quantitative, and technical information into clear, polished user experiences.

## Key Responsibilities

* Own product design across Secfi’s core products and customer experiences.

* Design how customers interact with Maeve, including how the AI planner appears, communicates, and builds trust when advising users about money.

* Shape the portfolio value tracker as it evolves from a static valuation view into a live experience incorporating pricing signals, market news, and AI-generated insights.

* Design and maintain equity planning tools, onboarding experiences, and financing flows used by tens of thousands of customers.

* Bring the new brand identity into the product, including the design system, product surfaces, and website.

* Work with the external rebrand agency alongside the Head of Product & Tech.

* Take products and features from initial concept through detailed design and shipped product.

* Conduct your own prototyping and user testing.

* Improve and evolve Secfi’s design system.

* Work closely with engineers, product managers, and executive stakeholders on design decisions.

* Contribute to selected brand work, including landing pages, campaign visuals, and pitch slides.

* Define design standards and help shape the design function as the team grows.

## Required Qualifications

* Strong product design craft with demonstrated visual and interaction quality in shipped products.

* Experience designing polished, immersive, and considered digital product experiences.

* Ability to work through complex financial, quantitative, or technical problems and translate them into simple user experiences.

* Experience taking products or features from 0→1, from initial concept through detailed design and shipped product.

* Strong generalist product design skills, including hands-on prototyping and user testing.

* Experience using AI tools in the design workflow and familiarity with current AI-enabled design and prototyping capabilities.

* Around 8+ years of experience, with maturity in approaching design, teams, and complex problems.

* Fluent English communication skills.

* Ability to discuss and communicate design decisions with engineers, product managers, and executive stakeholders.

## Preferred Qualifications

* Financial product experience, including fintech, brokerage, trading, or other products involving money.

* Mobile app design experience.

* Experience building or evolving design systems.

* Brand and marketing design experience alongside strong product design skills.

* Experience simplifying complex information for users with limited domain knowledge.
