Job Description
• $100–$150 per hour
• 100% remote
• Part-time
• 20 or more hours a week, you choose when
Work on the cutting edge of AI documentation review, on your own schedule, and get paid for the clinical judgment you already have.
The AI systems everyone is talking about are trained and tested by real clinicians. The teams building them need hospitalists who can review inpatient records, judge whether the documentation is accurate and clinically appropriate, write the decision a qualified reviewer would make, and explain exactly where the documentation falls short. Your clinical judgment becomes part of how the next generation of AI systems handles complex medical records. This is that work, done remotely around your current practice.
What you’ll do
• Review inpatient H&Ps and progress notes for accuracy, completeness and clinical appropriateness
• Compare discharge summaries with the patient encounter and flag clinically significant errors, missing details and inconsistencies
• Resolve ambiguous or conflicting documentation and record clear decisions with concise rationales
• Apply structured review standards to rate the severity of documentation issues and provide feedback on those standards
Why this is worth your time
• Get paid $100–$150 an hour to build real AI skills, on top of your current job
• Work directly with frontier AI tools and see how they are built, tested and improved, experience most hospitalists will not have for years
• Build a career edge for what comes next: AI is reshaping hospital medicine, and the hospitalists who understand it from the inside will lead that change
• Fully remote and flexible, no fixed shifts, no commute
Who this is for
• Board-certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, with an MD or DO
• Have demonstrated leadership while running documentation audit programs, or have at least five years of experience as an attending hospitalist
• Bring deep knowledge of inpatient documentation standards and hospital quality assurance, an understanding of how documentation shapes coding, billing and compliance, and clear written and spoken English
• No AI experience needed. You bring the expertise; we bring the training on the tools.
Pay and details
• $100–$150 per hour, paid hourly as an independent contractor
• 20 or more hours a week, you choose when; fully remote, United States
