Executive Engagement Mgr, AWS Forward Deployed Engineering

DESCRIPTION

As a Senior Executive Engagement Leader, you’ll manage engagements between FDE Senior Leadership and our most strategic customers and partners, owning the mechanisms that turn executive relationships into launched revenue. You’ll run strategic programs pairing senior leaders with the customers and partners where their involvement matters most, and ensuring every engagement is high-judgment, well-orchestrated, and tied to measurable business outcomes.

You’ll seek to understand each customer’s and partner’s mission, how they define success, and the outcomes that matter to their leadership, then design executive moments that deepen those relationships and accelerate their journey to AWS. Operating in a fast-paced, high-energy, global environment with a high degree of ambiguity, you’ll coordinate senior leader participation, prepare executives for impactful conversations, manage the end-to-end logistics and follow-through, and keep each engagement moving from first touch to tangible result.

You’ll also develop, implement, and iterate the processes and mechanisms that improve how we engage at the executive level, raising the bar on operational excellence and delivering a cadence of results and insights back to leadership.

Key job responsibilities

• Own strategic executive relationships. Serve as a trusted point of contact for our most strategic leaders.
• Lead executive engagements. Plan and deliver high-impact engagements, coordinating senior leaders within FDE and across AWS to maximize value and visibility.
• Build processes and mechanisms. Develop, implement, and iterate the mechanisms that improve how we engage with customers and partners, raising the bar on operational excellence.
• Drive project execution. Manage multiple concurrent projects in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment, executing plans, resolving issues, and escalating when appropriate.
• Define goals and align stakeholders. Collaborate across roles to translate mission objectives into clear project goals and measurable outcomes.
• Build and maintain relationships with key external partners and internal stakeholders, using strong written and verbal communication to influence priorities and align teams across organizations.

Our Amazon Web Services (AWS) FDE organization embeds alongside our customers and partners to co-create and deliver frontier solutions that remove constraints and accelerate their journey to AWS. We bring deep technical expertise, best practices, and the collective experience of building with customers at the leading edge, obsessing over strong outcomes and the hands-on work of turning ambitious visions into production reality.
We are seeking a highly motivated leader to build and own the Executive Engagement function for AWS FDE. As the sole owner of this function, you’ll define the processes and mechanisms, drive the day-to-day work yourself, and partner directly with our most strategic leaders.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years of professional or military experience
• 7+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience
• Experience developing and executing on GTM strategies that are large in scope

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience building scalable programs and repeatable scalable processes, levering various tools and methods to create scale and efficiency

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
