The AI systems everyone is talking about are trained and tested by real experts. The teams building them need senior field service technicians who can create realistic equipment fault scenarios, judge whether the AI reaches the right diagnosis, write the solution a skilled technician would give, and explain exactly where the AI’s reasoning breaks down. Your judgment helps shape the next generation of AI systems used for technical work. This is that work, done remotely, around your current job.
What you’ll do
• Create realistic troubleshooting scenarios involving industrial equipment and HVAC systems
• Diagnose likely fault pathways using electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, hydraulic layouts and pneumatic diagrams
• Review AI diagnoses against programmable logic controller logic and industrial controls to determine whether the proposed solution is sound
• Write clear service reports explaining corrective actions, maintenance strategies and where the AI’s diagnosis falls short
Why this is worth your time
• Get paid $60–$110 an hour to build real AI skills, on top of your current job
• Work directly with frontier AI tools and see how they are built, tested and improved, experience most senior field service technicians will not have for years
• Build a career edge for what comes next: AI is reshaping field service and equipment maintenance, and the people who understand it from the inside will lead that change
• Fully remote and flexible, no fixed shifts, no commute
Who this is for
• At least eight years of hands-on troubleshooting ……………….abaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaxperience with industrial, mobile, building, transportation, utility or telecommunications equipment
• Advanced ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, hydraulic layouts and pneumatic layouts, with deep familiarity with programmable logic controllers, industrial controls and fault-finding
• Strong working knowledge of NFPA 70/79, ASME A17.1, OSHA and related US safety requirements, plus the ability to explain complex diagnostics precisely
• No AI experience needed. You bring the expertise; we bring the training on the tools.
