Knowledge Enablement Engineer (Contract | Remote | AI & Semantic Systems)

We’re looking for a Knowledge Enablement Engineer to help make organizational data findable, trustworthy, and usable by both people and AI agents. You’ll evaluate existing semantic, knowledge, and retrieval capabilities, build working pilots, and determine when to adopt an existing solution versus building something new.

What You’ll Do

• Evaluate semantic layers, knowledge graphs, retrieval systems, and context-management capabilities against business and technical needs.
• Build working pilots and make clear build-versus-adopt recommendations .
• Develop and integrate knowledge capabilities for AI agents and AI-enabled experiences .
• Help establish consistent metric definitions, semantics, data dictionaries, and knowledge structures .
• Onboard new data domains and create repeatable processes for scaling the selected approach.
• Partner across Data Science, Engineering, and Product from evaluation through adoption and rollout.

What We’re Looking For

• Hands-on experience with semantic layers, knowledge graphs, retrieval systems, or AI agent tooling .
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience building with modern AI tools and AI-enabled systems .
• Ability to independently evaluate technical approaches and build functional prototypes or pilots.
• Experience working across teams on data, knowledge, or platform initiatives.
• Strong technical judgment in ambiguous, evolving environments.
• Experience with MetricFlow, Open Semantic Interchange, MCP servers, or agent orchestration is a plus.
