This company builds an AI-native platform focused on healthcare finance. It serves as a bridge between customer financial and clinical data and the AI systems that process it. The platform is already operational with five health systems, with Northwestern being publicly known. The company has a team of 27 people and has raised $34M in funding from investors like GV, NEA, FPV, Virtue, and Redesign Health. The company is based in Union Square, Manhattan, with a work setup that includes four days in the office.

About the role

This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the platform’s data processes. You will work closely with finance and clinical teams to understand and document customer-specific business rules and transform raw data into a unified ontology and semantic layer. Your work will be the foundation upon which the entire platform operates.

What You’ll Do

• Review and understand customer data models by engaging directly with finance and clinical teams.

• Codify complex business rules into durable and tested transformations.

• Utilize SQL to map customer data into the platform’s unified ontology.

• Ensure the accuracy and validation of all data transformations.

• Collaborate with insights and product engineering teams to expand the ontology as new data sources are integrated.

The Ideal Candidate

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, particularly in healthcare data.

• Experience working directly with finance and clinical teams to gather and codify business rules.
