Job Description
Our client, a fast-growing AI software development startup in the education space, is seeking an Executive Assistant with 7+ years of experience to serve as the right hand to the CEO. You’ll be a force multiplier, owning the CEO’s time, schedule, and logistics so he can focus on building the future of learning.
The ideal candidate thrives in unstructured, high-change environments and has supported founders or senior investors at startups or VC firms. You’re resourceful, tech-savvy, and don’t need hand-holding. You anticipate needs, communicate as a proxy for the CEO, and find creative ways to make more time in the day.
What will you be doing?
- Own and strategically manage the CEO’s complex calendar, prioritizing ruthlessly, saying no when needed, and sequencing meetings to align with company goals
- Act as a proxy for the CEO in communications with investors, board members, partners, and internal stakeholders
- Coordinate all travel logistics, including flights and car services, and troubleshoot last-minute changes (e.g., canceled flights, rescheduled customer meetings)
- Proactively find creative ways to boost the CEO’s efficiency, going beyond basic scheduling to remove friction and free up time
- Handle a mix of professional and light personal assistant duties (e.g., confirming appointments, coordinating a dog walker) with discretion and sound judgment
Dealbreakers
- Work experience: Experience as an Executive Assistant supporting a founder, high-level investor, or senior executive
- Hard skills: Exceptional at heavy calendar and travel logistics management
Baseline
- Seniority: 7+ years of experience as an executive assistant
- Work experience: Experience working in a startup, high-growth company, venture capital fund, or investment firm

- Soft skills: Comfort working in unstructured, rapidly changing environments; highly proactive and creative in problem-solving
- Miscellaneous: Ability to work in person at their downtown office 5 days a week; flexibility with work hours and availability outside of regular business hours
