Senior C#/.NET Full-Stack Developer | Investment Management Technology

A well-established alternative investment manager is seeking a hands-on Full-Stack Developer to join its technology team in New York.

This is an opportunity to play a key role within a small, highly collaborative environment where technology sits at the heart of the business. You’ll work directly with investment, operations and business stakeholders to build and enhance the platforms that support portfolio management, trading, risk, reporting and operational workflows.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing, developing and supporting business-critical applications across front, middle and back-office functions
• Enhancing portfolio management, order management, risk and reporting platforms
• Developing integrations with external financial systems, data providers and APIs
• Supporting and modernising existing applications while contributing to cloud migration initiatives
• Working closely with end users to gather requirements and deliver practical solutions
• Troubleshooting production issues and ensuring the stability of critical systems
• Contributing to Azure-based development, CI/CD and DevOps initiatives

What We’re Looking For

• 7-12 years of software development experience
• Strong C# and .NET development experience
• Advanced SQL Server and T-SQL skills
• Experience building modern web applications using React and JavaScript
• Experience with APIs, system integrations and distributed applications
• Exposure to Azure, Azure DevOps and CI/CD practices
• Strong problem-solving capability and a willingness to take ownership
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with business users

Highly Desirable

• Asset management, hedge fund or broader financial services experience
• Exposure to OMS, portfolio management, trading or risk systems
• FIX protocol experience
• Experience supporting production environments
• Knowledge of legacy Microsoft technologies including WCF, Entity Framework, SSIS or SSRS
• Experience using modern AI-assisted development tools
