Job Description
Role - Data Architect (Azure Databricks)
Location - Remote / EST Hours (candidate should be open to travel for client meeting and workshops) (Travel Expenses from customer)
Hire - Full time
Compensation - $180K (Total comp)
Note - we are looking for someone to start immediately (1 week notice) and he/she should be ready to travel to Raleigh, NC for client meeting in the 1st week of joining (Travel Expenses from customer)
Job Description:
This is a discovery project with a small POC of a data model at the end. We need a lead data architect who can collaborate with business/tech stakeholders, evaluate legacy systems, map conceptual data models and lineage, and design the target Databricks Lakehouse architecture.
Core Skill Sets:
- Conceptual & Subject-Area Data Modeling
- Hands-on experience with Databricks and Databricks SQL.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
- Familiarity with Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers).
- Experience designing Lakehouse architecture
- Data Lineage & Metadata Discovery
Nice to have:
- CPG & Trade Promotion Domain
- STTM Code experience
- ETL Pipeline coding experience
- Legacy SSIS package reverse engineering
Non-tech skills:
- Stakeholder facilitation
- Technical leadership
