Software Engineer — Infrastructure & Platform

At Swish, we’re building the technology and infrastructure behind rapid food delivery network. As we scale kitchens, orders, and engineering systems, we’re looking for an Infrastructure & Platform Engineer to build reliable, scalable, and developer-friendly systems.

What you’ll work on

• Build and scale infrastructure - Design, build, and maintain reliable infrastructure that supports Swish’s applications and services at scale.
• Own cloud infrastructure - Work with AWS, ECS, Docker, Terraform, and related tools to build and manage production environments.
• Build developer platforms - Create tools and workflows that make it easier and faster for engineering teams to develop, deploy, and operate services.
• Build CI/CD systems - Design and improve CI/CD pipelines and build orchestration systems that make deployments faster, safer, and more reliable.
• Improve platform reliability - Build systems for monitoring, alerting, observability, capacity planning, and incident response.
• Drive cost optimisation - Identify infrastructure inefficiencies, optimise cloud usage, and improve infrastructure cost visibility and efficiency.
• Solve production problems - Debug infrastructure and application issues, identify root causes, and build long-term fixes instead of temporary workarounds.
• Work with engineering teams - Partner closely with backend, frontend, data, and product engineering teams to improve performance, reliability, scalability, and developer productivity.

What we’re looking for

• 3–6 years of experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or a related software engineering role.
• Strong programming and scripting fundamentals; experience with Go or Python is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and production cloud infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of Linux, networking, containers, and distributed systems.
• Experience with AWS ECS and Docker.
• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Good understanding of monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability.
• Experience with APM and observability tools like NewRelic for application performance monitoring, tracing, logging, and alerting.
• Hands-on experience with WAFs and web security controls, including configuring rules and monitoring traffic.
• Experience troubleshooting production systems and handling incidents.
• Strong problem-solving skills and an ownership mindset.
• Ability to work closely with engineering teams and build practical solutions in a fast-moving environment.

Good to have

• Experience with Terraform and/or Pulumi.
• Experience building CI/CD orchestrators or internal developer platforms.
• Experience with AWS services such as ECR, ECS Fargate, ALB, IAM, CloudWatch, and S3.
• Experience driving cloud cost optimisation and infrastructure efficiency.
• Experience building infrastructure automation and developer tooling.
• Exposure to security, secrets management, and infrastructure security best practices.
• Experience working in a high-growth startup or consumer-tech environment.
