Software Engineer

About the Role

We’re looking for a Junior Backend Developer who enjoys building scalable products,

solving technical challenges, and collaborating closely with product and engineering

teams. You’ll play a key role in developing and maintaining backend systems that power

our platform while contributing to product development and technical decision-making.

While your primary focus will be backend development using Node.js and related

technologies, you’ll work closely with frontend engineers to deliver seamless user

experiences. We value engineers who can contribute across the stack when needed,

with familiarity in React, CSS, and an eye for building intuitive, polished products.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain backend services using Node.js and Express.js.
• Develop and maintain reliable, well-documented REST APIs.
• Design, optimize, and manage MySQL databases to ensure performance, scalability,

and data integrity.

• Deploy, monitor, and scale applications on AWS.
• Collaborate closely with frontend engineers to deliver seamless end-to-end user

experiences.

• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following engineering best practices.
• Participate in system design discussions and contribute to architecture decisions.
• Work closely with product teams to translate business requirements into technical

solutions.

• Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve system reliability and

performance.

• Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience with JavaScript and modern ES6+ features.
• Hands-on experience building backend applications with Node.js and Express.js.
• Solid understanding of asynchronous programming, including Promises, Async/Await,

Event Loop, and concurrent operations.

• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, particularly MySQL.
• Experience with AWS services DynamoDB, Lambda and S3.
• Good understanding of backend system design fundamentals, scalability, reliability,

and performance.

• Proficiency with Git and modern software development workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.

Nice to Have

• Working knowledge of Python and experience building backend services, integrations,

automation scripts, or APIs.

• Experience integrating with LLM APIs, AI services, or building AI-powered applications.
• Familiarity with modern cloud-native architectures and distributed systems.
• Experience working in fast-paced startup environments.
