Job Description

This is a Fully Remote Job

About Our Client:

The organization operates in the enterprise data and artificial intelligence (AI) sector, focusing on transforming legacy analytics workflows into governed, reusable business data products. It aims to shift from traditional report production to decision-driven processes, involving advanced data architecture, platform engineering, master data management, semantic layers, data governance, machine learning operations, and generative AI. The program is delivered through a combination of internal teams and external consulting partners located onshore, nearshore, and offshore.

About the Opportunity:

The TECHNICAL PROGRAM MANAGER - DATA & AI PLATFORM will lead the day-to-day execution of a large-scale transformation program within the Data & AI organization. This role is responsible for owning and maintaining the integrated delivery plan, managing cross-functional teams and vendors, and ensuring milestone-gated, budget-conscious delivery of business data products and AI capabilities. The position serves as the operational execution lead, translating architectural decisions into actionable plans and accountable outcomes, directly reporting to the program executive.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and maintain a single integrated delivery plan covering sequencing, dependencies, resource management, and milestones.
  • Ensure end-to-end readiness for each data product delivery wave, including design, build, governance, validation, release, and decommissioning.
  • Manage the program’s delivery cadence, including sprint ceremonies, backlog alignment, risk and issue management, and executive reporting.
  • Track milestone-gated delivery and enforce acceptance criteria before completion claims.
  • Monitor budget consumption and forecast estimates, surfacing variances early.
  • Manage day-to-day execution with external consulting partners, including scope, deliverables, change control, and separation of duties.
  • Coordinate distributed teams across multiple time zones to maintain efficient handoffs.
  • Maintain traceability of contractual deliverables through program requirements and acceptance evidence.
  • Understand technical work well enough to challenge designs and implementations.
  • Manage dependencies across platform hardening, product delivery, governance, and AI platform development.
  • Coordinate governance readiness alongside product delivery to ensure compliance and completeness.
  • Manage cross-functional readiness dependencies and ensure timely approvals.
  • Facilitate architecture and design decision forums and track conformance issues.
  • Serve as a liaison among business owners, architecture, engineering, governance, finance, procurement, and executives.
  • Communicate program status clearly, honestly, and based on evidence.
  • Drive decision-making, escalate unresolved issues, and challenge unsupported status claims.

Requirements:

  • 10 or more years delivering complex technology programs.
  • Proven experience managing integrated delivery plans across multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Strong vendor and partner management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate distributed teams across various time zones.
  • Experience in data architecture, platform engineering, governance, and AI deployments.
  • Competence in managing budgets and forecasting.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

  • The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
