About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Tech Lead – Java + React + Azure to join our team and work with a leading client in the e-commerce domain. The role will involve providing technical leadership, designing scalable solutions, and driving the development of modern full-stack applications using Java, React, and Microsoft Azure.

Experience with e-commerce platforms and technologies such as commercetools, Algolia Search, and Contentful CMS will be an added advantage.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable full-stack e-commerce applications using Java, React, and Azure.
• Provide technical leadership to the development team and guide engineers on design, development, and coding best practices.
• Design and implement Java/Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs.
• Lead frontend development using React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Define and review technical architecture, application design, integration patterns, and development standards.
• Design and implement cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Azure.
• Drive integration between frontend, backend, third-party systems, and e-commerce platforms.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure quality, security, scalability, and maintainability of solutions.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA teams, DevOps, and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, and performance bottlenecks and drive their resolution.
• Mentor and support developers through technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and problem-solving.
• Participate in estimation, sprint planning, technical discussions, and Agile ceremonies.
• Support CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, and production issue resolution.
• Work directly with the client and provide technical recommendations and solutions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software development experience, with strong hands-on experience in Java.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and REST APIs.
• Strong experience with React.js and modern frontend development using JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure cloud services.
• Strong understanding of microservices, distributed systems, API design, and cloud-native architecture.
• Experience designing scalable and high-performing applications for the e-commerce/retail domain.
• Good experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong understanding of design patterns, clean code, SOLID principles, and software architecture.
• Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring to development teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills with experience working in a client-facing environment.

• Experience with commercetools platform.
• Experience with Algolia Search.
• Experience with Contentful CMS.
• Knowledge of e-commerce functionalities such as product catalog, search, pricing, promotions, cart, checkout, orders, and payments.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Kafka / Azure Service Bus.
• Experience with Azure DevOps.
• Experience designing and integrating third-party APIs and external e-commerce services.
