Senior Cybersecurity Consultant – AWS / SIEM / Application Security

**Remote – U.S. 1099 Contract Up to $65/hour**

errorHandle LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Consultant for an ongoing client engagement supporting a cloud-based healthcare technology environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security monitoring, detections, and alerts
• Review security logs and investigate suspicious activity
• Evaluate and implement/optimize SIEM capabilities
• Review and strengthen AWS security configurations
• Configure and tune AWS WAF rules
• Perform vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation
• Review web application and API security
• Support incident investigation and response
• Improve endpoint/device security, patching, and access controls
• Support SOC 2 and HIPAA security requirements
• Work directly with engineering and technical leadership

Required Skills

• 7+ years of cybersecurity experience
• Strong AWS security experience
• CloudWatch, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Security Hub, IAM and WAF
• SIEM/log analysis experience: Splunk, Sentinel, Datadog, Rapid7, or similar
• Vulnerability management: Nessus, Qualys, Rapid7, or similar
• Web/API security and OWASP
• Threat detection and incident response
• Endpoint security/MDM
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Preferred

• Healthcare security experience
• SOC 2 and HIPAA experience
• Python/PowerShell automation
• Security+, CySA+, CISSP, AWS Security, or similar certifications

Requirements

• U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
• Must reside in the U.S.
• Remote 1099 contract
• Up to $65/hour , depending on experience
• Must be comfortable working directly with client engineering and leadership teams
