For almost 100 years, we’ve provided comprehensive engineering services for infrastructure improvement projects. We have offices in Chicago, Peoria, and Crown Point. We have been engaged in work in Indiana and with various INDOT Districts and the Central Office since 2016 including large Design Build projects. We are currently looking to establish an office in Indianapolis to better manage our Indiana operations and support our growth in the State and in the Indianapolis Metro area. Join our team and you will help provide engineering solutions on impactful projects for various INDOT Districts and the Central Office, Local Public Agencies, and work on other major infrastructure improvements across the Midwest.

We offer outstanding compensation and benefits along with excellent opportunities for career advancement.

We are looking for an experienced Roadway Project Manager to lead transportation design projects across Indiana, with a focus on INDOT as well as Local Public Agency projects. The successful candidate will manage projects from programming through final plans and construction support, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget objectives are met. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will manage multiple projects.

Besides technical abilities and familiarity with INDOT standards, the successful candidate must have strong leadership qualities, the ability to work on multi-disciplinary projects, and to positively interact with clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage roadway and highway design projects from concept through completion, including geometric design, drainage coordination, maintenance of traffic, and traffic control plans.
  • Prepare project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
  • Monitor progress of multiple projects, manage risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Lead internal multidisciplinary teams and coordinate work of subconsultants, including structures, traffic, survey, environmental, and ROW.
  • Serve as primary client contact for INDOT districts and local agencies; coordinate with utility companies, permitting agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and support proposals, scopes, and fee estimates for new pursuits, including work‐plan development and resource planning.
  • Oversee quality control/quality assurance processes and ensure project documentation, including calculations, meeting minutes, and deliverables, is complete and accurate.
  • Mentor and supervise junior engineers and designers, providing guidance on technical work, project delivery processes, and career development

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science or degree in Civil Engineering, Master a plus.
  • Indiana Professional Engineer license.
  • 10-15 or more years of progressive experience working on INDOT, and Indiana LPAs transportation projects.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of INDOT standards, procedures, and project delivery process, including coordination with districts and central office.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining budget, schedule, and quality objectives.
  • Strong communication and client‐service skills, with experience leading meetings and presenting to agency staff, local officials, and the public.
  • Proficiency with roadway design tools such as MicroStation/OpenRoads or similar CAD platforms and Microsoft Office for project documentation and reporting.
