Job Description

Overview

This is a full-time, in-office role. Your primary responsibility will be executive support to the Chief Operating Officer. You will work closely with company leadership and receive direct mentorship from the COO, with room to grow as the organization scales.

2080 Design Co. is a wholesale apparel manufacturer with 65 team members across four divisions: JR Dresses, Sportswear, Girls, and Kids. Our COO oversees day-to-day operations across all four, so this role is the point person who keeps things organized, moving, and on schedule. We use Asana to manage work and Claude to work smarter, and we promote from within and offer hands-on training for candidates who want to build a career in apparel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct executive support to the COO across operations, planning, meetings, and daily priorities.
  • Manage the COO’s calendar, build a structured daily schedule, and protect time for high-priority work.
  • Screen and organize the COO’s inbox; respond to routine inquiries and route or escalate customer, vendor, and internal issues to the right person.
  • Track open issues and complaints through resolution, with clear follow-up on owners and deadlines.
  • Manage projects, tasks, and deadlines in Asana, keeping boards current and following up with task owners across divisions.
  • Use Claude and other AI tools to draft communications, summarize meetings and email threads, prepare reports and documents, and streamline recurring work.
  • Assist with preparing daily and weekly accounting and operational reports, and keep recurring reports on schedule.
  • Prepare presentations, meeting agendas, summaries, and other business documents.
  • Coordinate communication among the JR Dresses, Sportswear, Girls, and Kids divisions, including production, design, sales, and accounting.
  • Maintain task lists and project trackers so that action items from meetings don’t fall through the cracks.
  • Support vendor, factory, and customer communication, and help coordinate meetings, showroom visits, and trade shows.
  • Handle travel arrangements, supply purchasing, and general office logistics as needed.
  • Help document processes and build simple workflows that reduce the COO’s day-to-day workload.
  • Handle confidential company information with discretion.

Qualifications

  • Prior executive assistant or administrative experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Working experience with Asana or a similar project management tool (Asana strongly preferred).
  • Hands-on experience using Claude or other AI assistants for writing, research, summarizing, and workflow automation.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize competing requests.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift daily.
  • Basic familiarity with accounting or reporting is a plus.
  • Experience or interest in apparel, fashion, or manufacturing is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Teams is preferred.
