Duration 12+ Months
Location New York, NY (Hybrid) Need Local

About the Role
Here’s some more info: A hands-on infrastructure recovery architect who grew up in the datacenter stack and moved into cyber resilience, inside hospitals. Not a security leader who governed recovery, and not an IT executive who sponsored it. The career arc looks like this: virtualization, storage or backup engineering, then recovery architecture, then ransomware recovery and isolated recovery environment work. They have personally operated a backup platform and a storage array, not specified them. The client’s panel tests platform depth, and that is where every candidate so far has come apart.
Responsibilities
- What they should be able to do on day one:
- Stand up an isolated recovery environment on physical hardware: hypervisor, network fabric, storage, identity plane, in the right order
- Configure immutability on a backup platform and explain what stops an admin with domain credentials from deleting the snapshots
- Recover Active Directory when production identity cannot be trusted
- Sequence a hospital recovery by clinical criticality, not by backup job order
- Script and orchestrate recovery workflows rather than click through them
