Microsoft Copilot Solution Architect

For one of my customer we are looking for a Microsoft copilot Solution Architect / Technical Lead.

Duration : 6 months renewable

Location: Europe(100% remote)

Description:

Design, governance, security, and technical deployment readiness of Microsoft 365 Copilot across the enterprise while driving SharePoint and OneDrive remediation activities required to reduce oversharing risks before large-scale Copilot deployment.

The role combines Microsoft 365 architecture, SharePoint governance, security controls, Copilot readiness assessments, and executive stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Copilot Architecture & Governance

• Define enterprise Copilot architecture and deployment patterns
• Lead Copilot readiness and risk-assessment activities
• Design governance frameworks for Copilot, agents, prompts, plugins and future AI capabilities
• Work with Security, Compliance and Data Governance teams
• Define guardrails for data access, content discovery and AI usage

SharePoint Governance & Oversharing Remediation

• Lead SharePoint and OneDrive governance assessments
• Review:
• Site permissions
• Broken inheritance
• Public sites
• “Everyone Except External Users” permissions
• External sharing configurations
• Site ownership gaps
• Design remediation strategies
• Leverage SharePoint Advanced Management and Microsoft Purview capabilities

Technical Leadership

• Serve as technical authority for:
• M365 Copilot
• SharePoint Online
• Teams
• OneDrive
• Purview
• Entra ID
• Power Platform
• Produce architecture documents and implementation roadmaps
• Guide engineering resources

• IT Leadership

Mandatory Skills

• 8+ years Microsoft 365 architecture experience
• 3+ years SharePoint Online governance experience
• Demonstrated Microsoft 365 Copilot deployment experience
• Deep SharePoint permissions expertise
• Entra ID and security governance knowledge
• Microsoft Purview understanding
• Executive communication skills
• Workshop facilitation experience
