AI Engineer

An established financial services company is looking for an experienced engineer to join the team. The role focuses on designing and deploying scalable AI software components and foundation model infrastructure to deliver value to millions of users. The successful candidate will work within a cross-functional environment to advance the state of the art in machine learning engineering and proprietary AI solutions.

What you’ll be doing

• Design, develop, and support AI software components including large language model inference and multi-agent workflows.

• Invent and introduce foundation model optimization techniques to improve scalability, cost, and latency of production systems.

• Own the end-to-end architecture for complex AI systems while ensuring maintainability, observability, and ethical alignment.

• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to optimize hardware utilization and accelerate model inference pipelines.

• Define and maintain service-level objectives for AI reliability, including uptime and model performance drift.

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience in building and deploying large-scale AI software components and foundation model training.

• Proficiency in AI technologies such as PyTorch, Huggingface, and vector databases.

• Strong background in optimizing high-performance AI infrastructure and large-scale production systems.

• Ability to contribute to technical visions and long-term roadmaps for foundational AI systems.

• Experience partnering with research scientists and product managers to deliver AI-powered products.
