Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer to support a large-scale infrastructure initiative focused on improving network availability, resiliency, and operational excellence across multiple refinery locations.
This role will partner closely with a Network Architect to assess, document, and implement recommendations that strengthen mission-critical networking environments supporting one of the largest downstream energy companies in the United States. The ideal candidate brings deep enterprise networking expertise, strong troubleshooting skills, and experience operating within highly available industrial, energy, oil & gas, or manufacturing environments.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in network engineering within enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in routing and switching technologies, including:
- TCP/IP
- VLANs
- STP
- HSRP/VRRP
- OSPF
- EIGRP
- BGP
- MPLS
- QoS
- Subnetting
- Route redistribution and routing design
Network Security
- Experience with:
- Access Control Lists (ACLs)
- Network segmentation
- Zero Trust principles
- IDS/IPS technologies
- Network Access Control (NAC)
- Secure remote access solutions
- Vulnerability remediation
Wireless Networking
- Experience designing, deploying, and supporting:
- Enterprise wireless networks
- Wireless controllers
- Access points
- RF planning and optimization
- Authentication services
- Wireless performance tuning
SD-WAN & WAN Technologies
- Experience with:
- SD-WAN platforms
- WAN optimization
- Carrier circuits
- Internet edge design
