Description

We’re seeking a Senior Snowflake Developer who will design, develop and maintain data solutions within our client’s Snowflake platform. This requires building ELT/ETL pipelines, designing and implementing data models and developing Python-based data processing, automation and integration solutions. FOUR DAYS ONSITE IN MIDTOWN NYC ARE REQUIRED!

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data solutions within Snowflake.
• Support platform modernization and migration initiatives from legacy technologies to cloud-based platforms.
• Build and optimize enterprise-grade ELT/ETL pipelines supporting business-critical reporting and analytics requirements.
• Design and implement robust data models, including dimensional, analytical and operational reporting structures.
• Develop and maintain reusable transformation frameworks using dbt.
• Develop Python-based data processing, automation and integration solutions.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and technical design standards.
• Develop data ingestion and transformation processes from a wide variety of source systems.
• Optimize Snowflake databases, queries and workloads to improve performance and cost efficiency.
• Implement data quality controls and monitoring capabilities.

Profile

• Extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake.
• Strong experience using dbt for transformation, modelling and deployment of data solutions.
• Advanced Python development skills for data engineering and automation.
• Strong SQL Server experience, including database design, optimisation and troubleshooting.
• Significant experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT solutions.
• Strong understanding of: Data warehousing principles; Star schema and dimensional modelling; Data architecture and data governance; Performance tuning and optimization
• Experience working with source control and CI/CD delivery practices.
• Financial Services experience is a strict requirement
• Experience engaging with business stakeholders, product owners and senior management.
