• Seeking a hands-on engineer to work with the existing SCV and Vault squad. The role will support the existing proprietary key/value credential system and migrate SCV capabilities to HashiCorp Vault.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, develop, test, support, and enhance applications and services used by the credential platform.
• Build HashiCorp Vault capabilities that replace features currently supported by SCV.
• Develop new integrations and plugins and onboard tools into the Morgan Stanley ecosystem.
• Support non-human credential storage in a manner compliant with relevant IAM policy.
• Perform development, engineering, operational, automation, and DevOps tasks.
• Follow architectural standards, product guidelines, and usability design standards.
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and Agile ceremonies.

Required Skills And Experience 12+ years of hands-on Golang experience. Strong object-oriented programming concepts and ability to design robust, scalable software solutions.

Strong hands-on HashiCorp Vault experience, including authentication backends, secret engines, and plugin development. Experience working with at least one public cloud provider: Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.

Ability to support production applications and troubleshoot technical issues.

Understanding of IAM policy, least-privilege access, and secure credential handling.

Preferred Skills Experience migrating features from a legacy secrets or credential platform to HashiCorp Vault.

Experience In Financial Services Or Another Regulated Enterprise Environment. Experience with incident and vulnerability management processes.
