Azure Data Architect

We are looking for a Senior Azure Data Architect with strong enterprise-level experience designing and modernizing data platforms on Azure, combined with proven experience designing the data architecture that supports GenAI, RAG, and/or Agentic AI applications in production .

This is not a hands-on AI development role . The ideal candidate does not need to develop RAG solutions or AI agents, but must understand how enterprise data and knowledge are ingested, prepared, stored, governed, and made available for retrieval and AI consumption .

Key Responsibilities

• Design enterprise Azure data architectures supporting GenAI, RAG, and Agentic AI use cases.
• Define the data layer and architecture behind production RAG/Agentic AI applications.
• Design scalable data ingestion, storage, governance, and retrieval architectures.
• Lead data modeling, platform modernization, and architecture decisions.
• Design solutions for both structured and genuinely unstructured data.
• Define metadata/configuration-driven ingestion approaches and scalable data-platform patterns.
• Provide architecture ownership across broader enterprise data initiatives.

Required Experience

• Strong enterprise Azure Data Architecture background.
• Mandatory: Azure Cosmos DB experience.
• Mandatory: real production experience designing or contributing to the data architecture supporting RAG, GenAI, or Agentic AI applications.
• Proven experience designing AI-ready data architectures and production data platforms for RAG/Agentic use cases.
• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL MI/SQL Server, T-SQL, Azure Data Lake/Lakehouse, and Azure Functions .
• Strong data modeling, ingestion, governance, and platform modernization experience.
• Experience working with both structured and unstructured data.
• Strong architectural ownership and ability to work across enterprise-level data platforms.
