AWS Data Architect (Remote)

For our client, we are seeking a AWS Data Architect (Remote) to join the team of a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space.

This role will shape the architecture for scalable, cloud-based data solutions that power analytics, reporting, and AI/ML use cases. You will provide technical leadership across design reviews, implementation standards, and data governance practices while partnering with stakeholders to align platforms to business needs. The position also plays a key role in building real-time streaming capabilities and ensuring data quality across multiple domains.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $132,000 – $150,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical leadership through code reviews and design walk-throughs
• Design and implement real-time data streaming architectures
• Define and enforce best practices for data access and processing
• Architect and implement scalable data platforms using AWS native services
• Ensure architectures support analytics, reporting, and AI/ML queries
• Drive end-to-end data modeling across various domains
• Develop robust data quality frameworks to ensure data integrity

Qualifications

• 11+ years in software engineering or relevant IT experience
• Strong knowledge of data architecture patterns, including lakehouse, warehouse, and mesh approaches
• Hands-on expertise with AWS services such as SQS, API Gateway, SNS, Kinesis, Glue, and Redshift
• Proven experience designing and operating large-scale data platforms on AWS
• Solid experience with data modeling for analytical and operational use cases
• Strong understanding of event-driven architectures and data streaming
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement
