About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Salesforce DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Salesforce deployment automation, CI/CD, release management, and environment management. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise with Copado and a strong understanding of Salesforce development and deployment practices.

You will work closely with Salesforce Developers, Architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders to build reliable deployment pipelines, manage Salesforce releases, troubleshoot deployment issues, and improve overall DevOps processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, maintain, and optimize Salesforce CI/CD pipelines using Copado.
• Manage deployment pipelines across Development, Integration, QA/UAT, and Production environments.
• Manage Salesforce metadata deployments, version control, branching, merging, and release processes.
• Automate Salesforce deployments and validation processes using CI/CD practices.
• Configure and maintain Copado pipelines, user stories, environments, deployment processes, and release workflows.
• Integrate Salesforce DevOps workflows with Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and related tools.
• Manage Salesforce release cycles and coordinate deployments across multiple teams and environments.
• Troubleshoot deployment failures, merge conflicts, validation errors, metadata dependencies, and environment-related issues.
• Support Salesforce development teams with deployment, environment, and release-related challenges.
• Establish and maintain best practices for source control, code quality, deployment governance, and release management.
• Monitor deployment activities and ensure successful, reliable, and timely releases.
• Collaborate with Developers, Architects, QA Engineers, and business teams to plan and execute releases.
• Identify opportunities to improve deployment automation, reliability, and overall Salesforce DevOps efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience working with Salesforce development and deployment processes.
• Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce DevOps and CI/CD.
• Strong hands-on experience with Copado.
• Solid understanding of Salesforce deployment and release management.
• Experience working with Salesforce metadata and deployment tools.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce CLI (SFDX) and Change Sets.
• Strong understanding of Git and version control.
• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working with Salesforce environments including Developer/Sandbox, Integration, QA/UAT, and Production.
• Experience with deployment automation, validation, rollback strategies, and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of Apex and Lightning Components to effectively understand and support Salesforce development and deployment activities.
• Experience with branching, merging, pull requests, and source-driven development.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience integrating Copado with GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or Jenkins.
• Experience working in enterprise Salesforce environments with multiple teams and release streams.
• Experience establishing Salesforce DevOps governance and deployment standards.
• Knowledge of Salesforce security, profiles, permission sets, and configuration dependencies.
• Experience with automated testing and quality gates within CI/CD pipelines.
• Salesforce certifications related to Development, DevOps, or Administration.

What You’ll Do

You will be responsible for ensuring that Salesforce changes move reliably and efficiently from development through testing and into production. This includes managing Copado pipelines, source control, environment synchronization, deployment validation, release coordination, and troubleshooting deployment issues across the Salesforce ecosystem.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is someone who is hands-on with Copado and Salesforce DevOps, understands the complete Salesforce release lifecycle, and can independently manage deployment pipelines and troubleshoot complex deployment issues. You should be comfortable working with both technical and business teams in a fast-paced environment.
