About the Company

We’re hiring a senior engineer to invent the future of AI-powered job search. Our client is a profitable, founder-led consumer tech company in New York whose platform serves millions of professionals. AI is already driving the company’s strongest growth in over a decade. Now they need an engineer who can take LLM-powered products from promising prototype to production at scale.

Responsibilities

• Agentic workflows that automate the hardest parts of job applications, including the nuanced, high-judgment questions most tools skip
• An AI career advisor that analyzes a job seeker’s resume, applications and skill gaps step by step
• The next generation of the matching engine: resume parsing, semantic search, vectors and recommendations
• Evaluation and benchmarking infrastructure to measure quality, catch hallucinations and compare models

Qualifications

• 6+ years building production software, with strong fundamentals in system design and clean code

Required Skills

• Backend depth in Python, Go or JavaScript, plus production experience with React or Next.js
• Hands-on experience shipping LLM features: RAG, tool calling, multi-agent systems, prompt engineering or evals
• A builder who has taken AI products beyond the MVP stage and cares about reliability, quality and scale
