PROJECT DESCRIPTION: DSS has a constant increased need for the provision of full systems life cycle applications development on various computer platforms, including a variety of client eligibility and recertification systems, employment/work engagement services, claims systems, etc., that are critical to the operation and functioning of DSS programs, requiring periodic refinements to maintain the applications at optimum service levels. Having a project portfolio which properly reflects the user’s business needs and DSS’ workload is crucial. Therefore, there is a need for IT consulting resources for the expanding responsibilities at DSS.

Required Skills

1. Designing web services/WCF/API based applications

2. MVC, HTML 5.0, jQuery and Bootstrap

3. Data structures, data manipulation, databases, design, programming, testing and implementation

4. Technical and user documentation, software conversions

5. Exposure to environments include but are not limited to mainframe, mid-range, personal computers, laptops

6. Lead in the design of program specifications and the implementation of software solutions

7. DOT NET Development

8. both the Front and Backend processing of Web Applications

9. Oracle and SQL Server database usage.

Tasks & Duties

• Develop system design specifications
• Develops and prepares documents for the general design of solutions that meet system and security requirements, including the selection of alternative approaches.
• Develops specifications for databases, communication systems, hardware, network, security, storage and software configurations.
• Develops structured diagrams for the specifications of databases, communication systems, computer or storage area networks, security or network programs.
• Develops, compiles, maintains and documents configurations of the following: databases, servers, computers, security and network monitor systems, packaged programs, macros, utilities, and communication systems.
• Develop system documentation
• Develop operational and installation procedures for communication systems, hardware, network, security, storage and software.
• Develop guidelines and upgrade techniques of new operational procedures for the support of databases, hardware systems, operating systems software, network systems software, security and client server systems.
• Develop detailed systems operations designs.
• Perform System Design/Programming
• Work with staff (e.g, managers, senior programmers, support staff, product manager) to plan program implementation, enhancements and changes
• Create, test and maintain program
• Design reports, audit trails/logs, security mechanisms
• Provide assistance to technical support staff when they are unable to resolve a program, database, or IT issue by themselves
• Occasionally contact customers as may be needed to clarify the intent of a new feature or resolve a problem
• Provide general programming assistance to other programmers/projects as may be needed.

Pay: $53.91 - $64.92 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
