A VC-backed, AI-enabled tax platform is seeking a Tax Manager to help oversee and advise a growing portfolio of corporate clients. With strong year-over-year growth, a rapidly expanding client base, and a dedicated engineering team focused on building technology that streamlines tax work, this is an opportunity to work at the intersection of tax, technology, and client advisory. The firm’s corporate client base consists primarily of venture-backed C-Corporations, ranging from early-stage startups to rapidly scaling businesses, providing significant exposure to complex tax matters, provisions, transactions, and special projects.

This individual will work closely with firm leadership and a highly skilled offshore tax team to manage corporate tax engagements, review tax returns, and serve as a trusted advisor to entrepreneurial founders and finance leaders. The role offers broad exposure across compliance, tax accounting, M&A activity, and strategic advisory work within a fast-growing and innovative environment.

Location: Fully Remote

Responsibilities:

• Review and oversee C-Corporation tax returns prepared by the firm’s offshore tax team
• Prepare and review more complex corporate tax engagements
• Serve as the primary day-to-day tax contact for a portfolio of venture-backed and high-growth corporate clients
• Work closely with firm leadership on tax planning, consulting, and special projects
• Assist with tax provision and corporate tax accounting engagements
• Support M&A-related tax projects, due diligence efforts, and other transaction-related initiatives
• Respond to client inquiries and provide practical guidance on a variety of corporate tax matters
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with founders, executives, and finance teams
• Collaborate with internal tax professionals and technology teams to improve efficiency, scalability, and client experience
• Participate in process improvement initiatives as the firm continues to grow and expand

Requirements

• Undergraduate or Master’s degree in Accounting, Tax, or related field
• 4–5 years of public accounting experience
• Strong Corporate Tax experience within a Top 10 CPA firm environment
• Experience preparing and reviewing C-Corporation tax returns
• Exposure to tax provisions, ASC 740, and corporate tax accounting strongly preferred
• Experience with M&A-related tax projects is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent client communication and relationship management abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• CPA is a major plus

Salary: $100,000 - $140,000 plus equity
